Warranty & Repairs

At Wee Wyld, we want you to feel confident in the quality and safety of the furniture you bring into your home.

All Wee Wyld products are covered by the protections available under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). These rights apply automatically and are not limited by this policy.

Your Consumer Rights

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, products sold to consumers in New Zealand must be:

  • Of acceptable quality
  • Safe
  • Fit for their intended purpose
  • As described
  • Reasonably durable, taking into account the type of product, price and expected use

If a Wee Wyld product does not meet these guarantees, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand law.

If Something Isn’t Right

If you believe your Wee Wyld product is faulty, damaged or has developed a problem, please contact us at:

weewyld@outlook.co.nz

To help us assess the issue, please include:

  • Your name
  • Order number
  • A clear description of the problem
  • Photos or videos showing the issue
  • Any other relevant information that may help us understand what has happened

We may ask for additional information where reasonably necessary to assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.

Repairs, Replacements and Refunds

Where a problem can be remedied, Wee Wyld may choose to repair the product, replace the product, supply a replacement part or provide another appropriate remedy, as permitted under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Where required by law, the remedy will be provided within a reasonable time and at no cost to the customer.

If the failure is substantial, cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, or otherwise gives you the right to reject the product under the Consumer Guarantees Act, you may be entitled to choose a replacement or refund.

Any approved refund will generally be returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.

What This Policy Does Not Cover

Consumer guarantee rights may not apply where the problem was caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or inappropriate use
  • Failure to follow assembly instructions where this caused the issue
  • Failure to follow safety instructions, age guidance, mattress requirements or weight limits where this caused the issue
  • Incorrect assembly where this caused the fault or damage
  • Unauthorised alterations or modifications
  • Use of unsuitable or unapproved replacement parts or components
  • Damage caused by moving, dismantling or transporting the product after delivery
  • Exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions, including excessive moisture, heat or other conditions that cause damage

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law.

Natural Timber and Materials

Timber is a natural material, so individual pieces may vary in grain, knots, tone, colour and texture.

These natural variations are part of the character of timber furniture and are not considered faults where they do not affect the product’s safety, function, durability or acceptable quality.

Minor variations in colour may also occur between product photography, screens and the finished product.

Assembly and Safe Use

Wee Wyld furniture must be assembled and used in accordance with the instructions and safety information supplied with the product.

Where adult assembly is required, the product should not be used until assembly has been completed correctly and all fixings have been securely installed.

For products that include climbing or play features, all relevant:

  • Safety instructions
  • Age guidance
  • Weight limits
  • Mattress requirements
  • Usage instructions
  • Supervision recommendations

must be followed.

Customers should regularly inspect furniture, fixings, bolts, climbing components and other hardware and tighten or maintain them where required.

Do not modify the structure of a Wee Wyld product or use replacement parts that have not been approved for that product.

Delivery Damage

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Please keep the original packaging and, where possible, provide photos of:

  • The damaged product
  • The packaging
  • Any visible damage to the carton or freight packaging

This information helps us assess what has happened and arrange the appropriate next steps.

Damage during delivery does not affect any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Replacement Parts and Repairs

Where appropriate, we may provide replacement parts or arrange a repair instead of replacing the entire product.

Where New Zealand consumer law requires us to provide repair facilities or spare parts for a reasonable period, we will meet those obligations.

Availability of particular parts may depend on the age, model and availability of the product, subject always to your rights under applicable law.

Commercial Use

Unless otherwise stated, Wee Wyld products are designed and sold for normal household use.

If a product is purchased for business or commercial use, different legal rights may apply.

Any agreement to contract out of the Consumer Guarantees Act for a business-to-business transaction will only apply where it is legally permitted and expressly agreed in writing.

This Policy Is in Addition to Your Legal Rights

This Warranty Policy is intended to explain how Wee Wyld handles product faults and warranty-related concerns.

It does not replace or reduce your legal rights.

Where your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 provide greater protection than this policy, your legal rights will apply.
