Terms of service

Last updated: September 2026

Welcome to Wee Wyld.

This website is operated by Wee Wyld. Throughout this website, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Wee Wyld.

By visiting our website, browsing our products, placing an order or otherwise using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with any other policies referenced on our website, including our Privacy Policy, Returns Policy and any applicable product or warranty information.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or purchasing from us.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to sell our products to you.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand law.

1. Using Our Website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • Use the website in a way that breaches any applicable law
  • Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the website
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code or other harmful material
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Copy, reproduce or commercially exploit our website content without our permission
  • Use false or misleading information when placing an order or communicating with us

We may restrict or terminate access to our website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

2. Products

Wee Wyld sells children’s furniture and related products.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that our product descriptions, photographs, measurements, specifications and other information are accurate.

Because products may contain natural materials such as timber, slight variations in grain, tone, texture or finish may occur and are part of the individual character of the product.

Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen, lighting and device settings.

Any accessories, mattresses, bedding, toys, décor or styling items shown in product photographs are not included unless specifically stated in the product description.

Please check the product description carefully before purchasing.

3. Product Safety, Assembly and Use

Children’s furniture must always be assembled and used correctly.

Customers are responsible for following all assembly instructions, safety information, age recommendations, mattress requirements, weight limits and other instructions supplied with the product.

Where a product requires adult assembly, it should not be used until assembly has been completed correctly and all fixings have been securely installed.

Products containing climbing or play features should be used appropriately and with suitable adult supervision based on the child’s age and abilities.

Do not modify the structure of a Wee Wyld product or use replacement components that have not been approved for that product.

Any specific safety standards, testing information or usage requirements applicable to a product will be stated on the relevant product page or accompanying documentation.

4. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change from time to time without prior notice.

The price charged for an order will be the price displayed at checkout when the order is placed, subject to any obvious pricing or technical error.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown separately.

5. Orders

When you place an order, you agree that the information you provide is complete and accurate.

Your order is an offer to purchase the selected products. We reserve the right to accept or decline an order where reasonably necessary.

This may include situations involving:

  • Incorrect pricing or product information
  • Suspected fraud
  • Stock availability issues
  • Delivery limitations
  • Payment failure
  • Orders appearing to be placed for unauthorised resale

If we are unable to fulfil an order after payment has been taken, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Payments may be processed by Shopify Payments or other third-party payment providers.

We do not directly store your full payment card details.

By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

7. Delivery

Delivery information, charges and estimated timeframes will be provided on our website or during checkout.

Please ensure your delivery details are accurate before submitting your order.

Large furniture items may require additional freight arrangements and may be delivered differently from standard parcels.

Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, businesses must ensure deliveries arrive within the agreed timeframe or, where no timeframe has been agreed, within a reasonable time.

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and contact us if anything appears damaged, missing or incorrect.

8. Returns and Change of Mind

Change-of-mind returns are subject to our Returns Policy.

Unless otherwise stated, eligible change-of-mind returns must meet the conditions outlined in that policy, which may include requirements relating to the condition of the product, original packaging, return freight and restocking costs.

Our change-of-mind policy is separate from your rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, does not match its description or otherwise fails to meet the guarantees required by New Zealand law.

The Consumer Guarantees Act generally does not require businesses to accept a return simply because a customer changes their mind.

9. Faulty or Damaged Products

We want every Wee Wyld product to arrive as it should.

If your product is faulty, damaged or does not match its description, please contact us with details of the issue and photographs where appropriate.

Depending on the circumstances and your rights under New Zealand law, the appropriate remedy may include a repair, replacement or refund.

Products sold by businesses in New Zealand must meet legal guarantees including acceptable quality, safety, fitness for purpose and matching their description.

Nothing in our Returns Policy, warranty information or these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

10. Product Availability

Products may be available in limited quantities.

We may introduce, modify or discontinue products at any time.

Adding an item to your cart does not guarantee that stock has been reserved until your order has been successfully completed.

For preorder or backorder products, any estimated arrival dates are estimates only unless expressly stated otherwise.

11. Errors and Inaccuracies

Occasionally, our website may contain an error relating to:

  • Product descriptions
  • Measurements
  • Pricing
  • Promotions
  • Stock availability
  • Delivery costs
  • Delivery estimates

We may correct genuine errors when discovered.

If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain your options.

We will not knowingly use incorrect or misleading information when advertising or selling our products.

12. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on the Wee Wyld website belongs to Wee Wyld or is used with permission.

This includes our:

  • Brand name and logo
  • Product photography
  • Graphics
  • Website design
  • Written content
  • Product descriptions
  • Illustrations and other creative material

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or commercially use this content without our prior written permission.

13. Reviews, Photos and Customer Content

If you submit a product review, photograph, testimonial or other content to Wee Wyld, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content.

Where you give us permission to share your content, we may use it for purposes such as displaying customer reviews or showcasing Wee Wyld products on our website or social channels.

We will not knowingly publish unlawful, misleading, abusive or inappropriate content.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may use third-party services or contain links to websites operated by third parties.

These may include services relating to payments, delivery, social media, analytics or ecommerce functionality.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or operation of websites that we do not control.

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to the terms and policies of those providers.

15. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable New Zealand privacy law.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

16. Website Availability

We aim to keep the Wee Wyld website available and operating properly, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

We may temporarily suspend or modify parts of the website for maintenance, security, updates or other operational reasons.

17. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wee Wyld is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

However, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand law.

In particular, these Terms do not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act where those laws apply.

I would use this wording rather than the original broad “we are not liable for any injury/loss whatsoever” clause, because businesses cannot simply use website terms to contract out of normal consumer protections for household purchases.

18. Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for losses reasonably suffered by Wee Wyld as a direct result of your unlawful use of our website or your material breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

19. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as removed or modified only to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, website, policies, services or legal requirements.

The latest version will be available on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed when appropriate.

Any changes will apply from the date the updated Terms are published unless otherwise required by law.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any dispute relating to these Terms or your use of the Wee Wyld website will be dealt with in accordance with applicable New Zealand law.

22. Contact Us
